On November 28-29, 2017 in Tashkent, within the framework of the multimedia project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan", it is planned to hold an international media forum "Crossroads of Times: the great heritage of the past - the basis of an enlightened future". The event will be attended by leading representatives of world science, heads of museums, libraries, scientific institutes and other international organizations, national scientists and experts.
One of the main events of the International Media Forum will be the presentation of a new series of the project - "Masterpieces of written Monuments of the East", within the framework of which a solemn ceremony will be held to donate facsimile copies of priceless ancient manuscripts stored in the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation and the National Library of France to Uzbekistan.
The facsimiles of the folios are made using a unique technology using manual labor, a special type of paper and real gold. During the event, the presentation of the next five books-albums and documentaries published as part of the series "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in world collections" will also take place. In this regard, a humanitarian action will be held to donate 2,500 album books to the largest libraries and museums of the world and the country, as well as educational institutions.
Along with this, scientists from museums and libraries in the UK, France, Russia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Japan will present special reports on the release of new albums in 2018.
