
Certificates for the publication "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in world collections" were presented to representatives of museums and libraries by the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Saifullayev
500 volumes of the publication "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in world collections" will be donated to Russian libraries and museums, project manager, Chairman of the National Association of Electronic Media of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov said at a round table held as part of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Russia.
Certificates for receiving publications were presented to representatives of museums and libraries by the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Sayfullayev immediately after the round table held at the Moscow Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts. Each book-album will be accompanied by a film about the exhibits presented in it.
"With this action, we want to support the cultural aspirations that are taking place in Uzbekistan today under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the issue of careful preservation of cultural heritage, education, education," Abdukhalikov said.
He added that within the framework of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in world collections", five volumes have already been published, prepared in cooperation with Russian specialists, and five more are planned to be released by December this year. The work on cataloging artifacts of Uzbek culture is carried out in 12 countries, including France, Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Japan, and the USA.
"We are grateful to all the specialists who have united around this project: the directors and staff of museums, the expert community, as they help us in a unique business. This is the only project in the world where the state collects its cultural heritage in a single catalog. To date, five volumes have already been released, which we presented in April this year at the congress "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan — the way to dialogue between peoples and countries", held in Tashkent in May," Abdukhalikov stressed.
The round table was attended by representatives of the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian National Library, the Russian Ethnographic Museum, the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences. On the same day, an exhibition of exhibits from Uzbekistan opened at the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts.
