The State Museum of the History of the Temurids in Tashkent hosted the grand opening of the permanent exhibition of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the world collections".
The event was held as part of the opened International Multimedia Forum dedicated to the results of the work of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the world collections".
The permanent exhibition of the project presents in the halls of the Museum printed materials published by the Project during its work.
In its exposition - 20 volumes of books-albums of the series "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in World collections", 12 volumes of the series "Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan", facsimile of unique medieval manuscripts now stored in various foreign collections. Among them are "Kattalangar Quran", "Temur tuzuklari", "Zafar-name", "Divan" by Hussein Baykara, "Miraj-name".
Books are available to visitors for review. In the future, the exposition will be replenished as new volumes are published.
At the opening of the exhibition took part the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, the author of the multimedia project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan" Firdavs Abdukhalikov and Representative of UNESCO in Uzbekistan Maria del Pilar Alvarez-Laso.
"Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan" and "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the World collections" - 23 volumes - are donated to the Temurids Museum and will be part of its exposition. These books, which were created by a large international team of scientists, bring new, sometimes sensational knowledge to everyone who is interested in the culture of our country,” comments Aziz Abdukhakimov.
Firdavs Abdukhalikov noted the importance of opening the exhibition, emphasizing that the transfer of knowledge, first of all, to young people, as well as to guests who are interested in our cultural heritage, is one of the tasks of the exhibition and the International Forum as a whole.
