Dear Mister President,
on behalf of the participants of the 2nd International Congress "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan - a Path to Dialogue between Peoples and Countries", we would like to express our deep respect for your tireless work aimed at creating New Uzbekistan. Today, during the days of the 2nd International Congress in St. Petersburg, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the new results of your work on the fundamental reforms that are underway in Uzbekistan and on creating decent conditions for the development of fundamental science and culture. Your efforts to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people, which has made an invaluable contribution to the development of world civilization, are particularly valuable for us. We are well aware of your concept of civilized Islam as a religion of good, peace and tolerance, and we support you in your tireless work to implement it.
A significant achievement in the study and popularization of the priceless spiritual wealth of the Uzbek people was the project Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections supported by Yourself, which provides for the collection, study and publication of art objects, manuscripts and documents related to the history of the peoples of Uzbekistan. As part of the project, 15 albums have already been published, more than 20 documentaries have been shot. The project brought together the efforts of the scientific community of Uzbekistan, where an authentic scientific school exists and is fruitfully developing, as well as the efforts of researchers from Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the USA, Japan, Turkey and many other countries.
In May 2017, the 1st International Congress "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan - a Path to Dialogue between Peoples and Countries" was held in Tashkent and Samarkand which was attended by more than 300 scientists of the world. We are confident that this project will serve to strengthen mutual understanding between peoples and countries, as well as enhance the cultural image of your country.
Today, an important result of the 2nd International Congress in St. Petersburg has been the creation of the World Society for the Preservation, Study and Promotion of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan. We express our confidence that this newly established international organization, which unites all those who cherish the history and culture of Uzbekistan, will become a reliable assistant in your tireless efforts to further popularize the cultural legacy of the ancient land of Uzbekistan.
We wish you sound health and prosperity to independent Uzbekistan!
Adopted by the participants of the World Society for the Preservation, Study and Promotion of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan,
St. Petersburg, June 8, 2018.
