Participants in the 6th Congress highly appreciated the efforts of the President and the Government of Uzbekistan in the preservation of the cultural legacy
The final document emphasizes: "Directly on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the foundation of the New Revival - the New Renaissance is being laid in Uzbekistan, which is also expressed in the implementation of fundamental changes in the spiritual and educational sphere."
The scholars also noted that large-scale events in the field of humanitarian science and culture are being organized and carried out in Uzbekistan; a 10-year State program has been adopted to improve the activities of state museums and strengthen their material and technical base for 2017-2027. A vivid example is that only this year, seven new museums are being established in Samarkand. The Silk Road International University of Tourism was opened.
An extremely important recognition of the country's efforts aimed at preserving the unique cultural legacy of past centuries was the election of Uzbekistan as a member of the UNESCO Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in Paris at the 8th session of the General Assembly of the Member States of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage".
“For six years of activities of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan, 60 volumes of the exclusive international series “The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections” have been published. Work continues on the series "Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan" and "Culture and Science of Uzbekistan in the Works of Scholars", more than 60 films have been shot, and many media forums have been held in Uzbekistan and abroad. This entire fruitful program of action, which ensures an effective dialogue between scholars, would not have been possible without the support of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, socially responsible business enterprises represented by the Eriell Group, as well as a number of international humanitarian organizations,” the declaration says.
In addition, members of the World Society highly appreciated the organization of the 6th International Congress "The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan: the Foundation of a New Renaissance" held on July 22-24.
