SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming and UNESCO Representative in Uzbekistan Sarah Noshadi signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the SCO Secretariat and the UNESCO Secretariat for 2023-2027.
This was reported by the press service of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
"This event is a vivid example of the increased attention of UN specialized agencies and regional organizations to the activities of the SCO," the information service noted.
The memorandum is aimed at further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the SCO and UNESCO on education, science, culture, sports, communication and information, the press service of the Organization added.
