Branch of WOSCU opened in Tashkent

Branch of World Society for Study, Preservation and Popularization of Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU) opened in Tashkent.

On July 5, 2023, a new office of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan was ceremonially opened in Tashkent. 

It is designed for events of various formats, including conferences, round tables, training courses, film screenings, academic and scientific meetings and seminars. 

The showroom of the World Society office presents publishing projects for the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections and Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan series, gift editions, as well as 3D models of historical monuments of Uzbekistan and a separate area for facsimiles of ancient manuscripts.

The participants of the event acquainted themselves with the publishing activities of the World Society and exchanged views on the development of culture and art in the country. 

The main event of the opening ceremony was the presentation of the multimedia portal of the World Society at https://society.uz . The site presents a variety of headings dedicated to the culture and science of Uzbekistan, such as Historical Library, Media Assets, Facsimile Editions, 100 Outstanding Handwritten Masterpieces of Uzbekistan and many others. The portal also boasts a large section titled Cinema, which presents documentaries, educational videos and interviews made by the video department of the World Society. 

This multimedia platform provides an opportunity to learn about the amazing cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in an easy and fascinating format.
