The event will feature participation from over 120 international and 100 national scholars and experts specialized in the fields of conservation and promotion of Uzbekistan's cultural and historical heritage, oriental studies, archaeology, history, Eastern manuscripts, numismatics, textiles, ceramics. Among the world's science representatives are renowned scientists, museum directors, heads of scientific institutes, editors of scientific journals, esteemed collectors from Russia, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, India, Egypt, Korea, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the USA, China, Turkey, Greece, Azerbaijan, and other countries, as well as representatives from UNESCO and ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites), and many other scholars who are authors of numerous publications and books dedicated to the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
The goal of the scientific forum is to study and preserve the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan. During the event, presentations dedicated to unique objects of material and artistic cultures of Uzbekistan stored in museums around the world are expected.
The forum will have not only a scientific and cultural significance but also a societal impact, as it will be a prominent event in the implementation of the Action Strategy for the five priority development areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017–2021, initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The main event of the gathering will be the presentation of an exclusive cultural and educational media project "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in World Collections" (project author and leader – honored journalist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, F. Abdukhaliqov, and scientific director of the project – academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, E. Rtveladze).
