Among the many men artists, it is important to note the creativity of women artists.

Those include Alvina Shpady, Damegul Berdimbetova, Galiya Abdurakhmanova, and others. Their creativity is associated mainly with the Karakalpak fine arts, where they are recognized as great masters and authors of many famous paintings. The works of the female artists included in the collections of many museums and private collections, both in Uzbekistan and abroad. They are participants of many prestigious exhibitions and represent the Karakalpak art in all its forms and genres.

Alvina Shpady is one of the representatives of the older generation of the Karakalpak artists. She works in the genre of portrait, landscape, still life, but the main, her favorite genre is thematic and genre art, in which she depicts the everyday life of people surrounding her. The artist is especially concerned about women’s theme – ‘Female Cotton Pickers’, ‘Mothers’, ‘Conversation’, ‘Next to the Heater’, and others. The compositions are very commonplace and simple, yet striking in their monumentality.

You can learn more about this topic in the book-album "The Collection of the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I. V. Savitskiy" (Volume IX) from the series "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections".
