Attention of the artists (F. Madgazin, R. Matevosyan, G. Zheglov, A. Kvon, J. Bekanov, A. Yerimbetov, J. Izentaev, U. Saparov, B. Serekeev, J. Lepesov, A. Shpady, and others) increasingly focused on the events of the present, everyday affairs and concerns of workers of the region. The unique paintings, created in those years, reflected the elements, which later became central to the national school of fine arts. Flatness, color saturation and expression, figurative symbolism – in painting, restraint and expressiveness – in sculpture.
The painting was the beginning of the professional art and dominates among other forms of the art until now. In the lyrical landscapes created by K. Saipov, F. Madgazin, I. Savitskiy, R. Matevosyan, A. Yerimbetov the viewers have the opportunity to see the uniqueness of the nature of Karakalpakstan from Ustyurt and Muynak in the north (F. Madgazin ‘Evening on the Amu Darya’, ‘Along the Amu Darya’), to the sultry south (I. Savitskiy ‘Qoy qyrylgan-qal’a’, ‘Kalaly-gyr’, ‘Street of the Old Khiva’, and others).
