Among them are four local sets of traditional ornaments: Tashkent , Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Karakalpakstan ornaments. Specific techniques of decorating jewelry were used in each region, jewelers favored one or another material. For example, Bukhara jewelers loved precious and semi-precious stones – tourmalines, lal, rubies, beryl, turquoise, freshwater pearls. In the early 20th century, Tashkent jewelers developed a set of expressive jewelry inlaid with colored glass, which included a head tiara tillaqosh, earrings oynador, temple pendants gajak, luxurious necklace zebigardon w ith a large medallion in the shape of a pomegranate, bilazik bracelets, charms bozband and massive amulet cases koshtumor. The museum’s collection keeps the entire set of Tashkent resident’s bridal jewelry, moreover, in several variations.
