In 1948, a separate sector was established based on the allocated Fund of rare and antique publications, headed by E.K. Betger. He began the scientific processing of the fund and organized a unique cross-type card catalog.
He compiled the following catalogs: "Chronological Overview of Russian Books of the XVI-XVIII Centuries Belonging to the State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Alisher Navoi" and "Catalog of Books of the Tashkent State University Scientific Library."
You can learn more about the topic in the book-album "The Manuscript and Book Heritage of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi" (Volume XLI) in the series "The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan".
The main sponsor of the project is the oilfield services company Eriell-Group.
