Irresistible Uzbek national outfits

It is a kind of encyclopedia of folk life, which one should be able to interpret.

National clothes always differ in traditionality: a costume, as a rule, has not changed for centuries. Both men’s and women’s clothing had a common basis – a wide, tunic-shaped shirt and outer coat. The style remained almost unchanged, only the fabrics changed, the methods of their decoration, the length and width of the clothes, and accessories.

Large centers for the production of dressing gowns were Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Kokand and Fergana.

The prevailing traditions have not yet lost their significance and can be traced in modern clothes, and museum samples serve as an aid to modern Uzbek designers in the development of fashionable stylish clothes. The number of clothing items in the collection of the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan is 727.
