
These acquisitions made it possible to form a large manuscript collection reflecting the interests of Central Asian society for about 700 years, as well as to collect written monuments for almost 1 000 years of existence of Muslim culture (the oldest manuscript in Arabic dates back to 344/955, and the latest copies originate in modern times).
