
A “Treatise on Music” by Darvish ‘Ali Changi is well known to specialists in many countries of the world. In it he describes in detail the development of musical art and its most prominent personalities in Central Asia and the Middle East in different historical periods, especially over the 14th – early 17th centuries. One of the lists in the “Treatise on Music” by Darvish ‘Ali Changi, rewritten in Bukhara and sent there from St. Petersburg, is preserved in the collection of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences (№ D 403).
