What kind of shoes did Surkhandarya men wear in ancient times?

Men wore boots made from leather, makshi, mukki and choriki.

The choriki were high shoes from calf, camel or horse hide and had special laces that went through the loops in the back that were used to tie around the legs. These were worn by residents of mountains or foothills. The urban population of the valley wore boots and kovush.

You will find more examples of national Uzbek clothes in the book-album "Traditional Uzbek costume on materials of museum and private collections of Uzbekistan (Part 2)" (volume XLIX) from the series "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the world collections".

The general sponsor of the project is the oilfield services company Eriell-Group.
