Characteristics of the embroidery of the Karakalpak headwear kiymeshek

The embroidery of kiymeshek ran through the central part, on all sides of aldy and around the facial cut.

The red part of kyzyl kiymeshek covered horizontally with ornamental motifs characterized of a certain way. In its present patterns were cosmogony symbols, images of a woman, water motifs, zoomorphic and vegetable. The central part of a kyzyl kiymeshek is the strip orta kara, similar to the cradle of Karakalpakstan, besik. The aq kiymeshek had the same cut, but was sewn from white homespun fabric. Its patterns were vertical and made in the technique of cross stitching.
