Ishton and lozim pants as a compulsory part of women’s clothes

In the 19th century, the length of pants covered footwear; baggy in the upper part, they tapered down.

In the upper part, they had a hem for a tie-up string, ishton bog, while in the lower part the edges were decorated with jiyak braids. The fabrics used were calico, adras or silk.

You will find more examples of national Uzbek clothes in the book-album "Traditional Uzbek costume on materials of museum and private collections of Uzbekistan (Part 1)" (volume XLVIII) from the series "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the world collections."

The general sponsor of the project is the oilfield services company Eriell-Group.
