“Hussein Bayqara was not only a ruler, but also a mature thinker and patron of art. He wrote poetry in Turkish and Persian under the pseudonym Husseini. Later his ghazals were collected and the sofa was composed. One of the most beautiful copies of the divan that has survived to this day is in the collection of the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art." It was brought here from the Hagia Sophia Library in 1914. The divan consists of 38 ghazals of Hussein Bayqara. We found out that most of the lost pages are from the divan is kept at foreign auctions and in museums.”
