In particular, the adopted document states:
“Large-scale projects implemented in the field of revival and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan became possible owing to the multifaceted reforms you are carrying out, as well as the policy of openness of the country, the development of partnerships with other countries and the support of civil initiatives. We share your position that it is education, study and preservation of the country’s cultural heritage that is the key to the stable development of the state, achieving new heights in building an enlightened future. In this regard, it is no coincidence that the leitmotif of the Congress remains The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan is the Foundation of a New Renaissance,” the appeal states.
Scholars especially noted the importance and necessity of preserving and popularizing the cultural legacy of our country.
“Cultural heritage is the most important resource that the country is actively using on the way to building a New Uzbekistan. It is this that is the key to preserving the cultural code of the nation and its transmission from generation to generation,” noted the participants in the Congress.
The Appeal notes that “the result of the activities of the World Society in recent years has been the publication of 70 volumes of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Worlds Collections series, special and popular publications, 16 volumes of the Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan series, the publication of facsimiles of ancient handwritten monuments and much more. For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, one publication contains more than 200 miniatures of 100 historical figures of Uzbekistan from more than 50 foreign collections. All this became possible thanks directly to your personal attention and the constant assistance of the country’s government.”
The scholars also informed in their address about plans for the future.
“The plans of the World Society include further implementation of the Historical Personalities of Uzbekistan in Oriental Miniature project, creation of a multilingual video lecture, preparation and presentation of documentaries and popular science films, further research and publication of collections of national regional museums and much more. We believe that the publication of complete catalogs of architectural and archaeological monuments of Uzbekistan is relevant for world science and the World Society, and here we count on the help of the state,” the appeal states.
Participants in the 7th International Congress expressed gratitude for supporting the projects of the World Society, organizing a high-level event in the field of culture and history, and admired the new Samarkand tourist center.
“We express our gratitude to you for the opportunity to hold forums, congresses, and exhibitions that are so significant for the global scientific community. During these days, we all get acquainted with deep admiration at the unique Samarkand tourist center and the Eternal City historical and ethnographic park, created on your initiative, which has become for many of us a new point of attraction in ancient Samarkand,” concluded the Congress participants.
The appeal was adopted by a general vote of participants at the final meeting of the 7th International Congress of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU) The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan: the Foundation of a New Renaissance.

We, participants in the 7th International Congress The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan: the Foundation of a New Renaissance, members of the World Society for the Preservation, Study and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU) – scholars, cultural figures, workers of science and education, mass media represent different countries and organizations, while united by a common interest and love for the rich cultural heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The brilliant representatives of the ancient land of Uzbekistan made an invaluable contribution to the development of science and culture, social thought and art. The identification of the significance and scale of the contributions to the development of world civilization is the main goal the work carried out by the World Society. Large-scale projects implemented in the field of revival and popularization of the cultural legacy of Uzbekistan have become possible thanks to the multifaceted reforms you carry out, including the openness of the country and development of partnership relations, as well as support for civic initiatives.

Year after year, the activities of the World Society gain more and more international reputation By expanding our scale and boundaries, we stimulate the development of scientific research in the study of the cultural legacy of ancient Uzbekistan.
Revisiting the topic of the richest cultural heritage of Uzbekistan into account, we strive to show the importance and relevance of its study and popularization in the contemporary world for the modernization of society and especially the issues on the education of the younger generation.
The World Society's activities in recent years have resulted in the publication of 70 volumes of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections series, special and popular editions, 16 volumes of the Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan series, facsimiles of ancient handwritten monuments and much more.
This is the first edition in the history of Uzbekistan featuring more than 200 miniatures of 100 historical figures from Uzbekistan kept in over 50 foreign collections. All this has become possible thanks to your direct and personal attention and the constant assistance of the Government of the country.
In the 7th Congress of the World Society, its participants presented new research, publishing, multimedia and popularization projects based on your initiatives. More than 300 scholars and experts from 40 countries are taking part in their development and realization.
The World Society’s plans include further implementation of the Historical Personalities of Uzbekistan in Oriental Miniature project, creation of a multilingual video lecture, preparation and presentation of documentaries and popular science films, further research and publication of collections of national regional museums and much more. We believe that the publication of complete catalogs of architectural and archaeological monuments of Uzbekistan is relevant for world science, and here we count on the help of the state.

In this regard we thank you for the unprecedented initiative to publish the first 35 volumes of books-albums from the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections series and distribute them through the public education system to school libraries, colleges and lyceums in your country. We hope that this noble work will continue.
