"I participated in almost all congresses, and I see that its influence is growing every year. The first goal of the large project was to create a book album by collecting collections related to Uzbekistan from museums around the world. 70 book-albums prove that we have achieved this goal. At the moment, work is underway on another collection in Greece. If we compare this idea to a tree, it has grown and now spreads its branches in all directions. If we say that one branch is a facsimile, then the other is films and videos of Shakhnoza Ganieva. It is through these films that we can learn about archives, heritage stored in museum collections that is unknown to us.
Several books have been published in this direction. There is a digitized archive. At the moment, Eduard Rtveladze’s archive is being scanned, but before that we digitized everything with the help of Galina Pugachenko’s archive. Today everyone can use this it. This is an important project. Members of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan consist of a large group of scientists. Such a congress is the time to sum up the results of our work, come to an agreement and discuss other issues. Another aspect is that, based on these more than 70 books published over seven years, it is possible to create a cartography of Uzbekistan's cultural assets scattered throughout the world. In this way, you can find out which exhibit, source or manuscript is located in which part of the world.
In a word, I call this project the return of the heritage of Uzbekistan, scattered throughout the world. True, it is impossible to return the exhibits or sources themselves, but it can be studied. The information, as well as their history, is returned".
