One of the mosque researchers, L.I. Rempel, discovered the date (1713) on one of the columns and, based on this, suggested the construction date. It is not quite clear which of the inscriptions had served. as a source of this date, yet we have managed to reveal an inscription with the construction chronogram, whose calculation gives us a much earlier construction date: 958/1551-1552 . The name of the mosque is ascribed to Sufi Allayar , a famous mystic poet and sheikh of the Naqshbandiya Mujaddiya order.
However, it is obvious that this name was given later, since he was not yet born by the time of the mosque construction. Perhaps Sufi Allayar used to pray here, or even was an imam, as it is known from his biography that he resided in this village.
