These are seven unique shots of Muslim gatherings in Tashkent and Samarkand, taken by TASS photographers in 1943.

One of the photos shows Eshon Babakhan ibn Abdulmajidkhan, one of the founders and the first chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
