Today, May 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On awarding a group of deceased artists who made a great contribution to the development of culture, art and literature in our country."
By the decree, a group of deceased artists who, through their brilliant talent and many years of fruitful creative activity, left an invaluable legacy for future generations, and who have deeply entered the memory of the people with their meaningful life and high human qualities, was awarded orders and medals.
Among those awarded the Order of "Do'stlik" is Eduard Rtveladze, a prominent archaeologist, historian, art historian, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU).
"Knight of Archaeology" has been the scientific director of the international multimedia project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections" since its first day (2016), contributing to the attraction of specialists from all over the world to the project. His hundreds of articles and studies, monographs and brochures dedicated to the ancient and medieval history, archaeology, numismatics and epigraphy, art and culture of Central Asia are well known to scientists and specialists of our country and the world.
Academician Edvard Rtveladze's merits in the development of domestic science have been duly recognized by our state. He was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the orders "Buyuk hizmatlari uchun," "Mehnat shuhrati," and "El-yurt hurmati." The "Do'stlik" (Friendship) Order is a worthy recognition of the outstanding scientist's 60-year scientific activity.

The memory of a caring teacher, a humble and sincere person Edward Rtveladze will always remain in our hearts.
