A scientific and educational evening titled "Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections" was held at the National Library of Thailand.

The event, organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok, was attended by the heads of several embassies in Thailand, a representative of UN ESCAP, the director of the National Library, officials from educational and religious institutions, representatives of leading universities, cultural and tourism sectors, media workers, and compatriots.
During the educational evening, information was provided on the mega-project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections," implemented by the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU). Within the framework of the project, 77 volumes of the "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan" collection were donated to the National Library of Thailand.
For information, the National Library of Thailand was founded in 1905. For more than 121 years, it has preserved the kingdom's valuable information resources.
In his speech, the Consul General of our country in Bangkok, Fakhriddin Sultanov, emphasized that the history of Uzbekistan's statehood spans more than three thousand years and spoke about the immense contribution of our great ancestors to the development of world civilization and the Center of Islamic Civilization established in Tashkent.
The participants were presented with a video message by Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Chairman of the Board of WOSCU and Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, as well as videos about the activities of "Cultural Future", "Renaissance", and the Center for Islamic Civilization.
During the event, it was also noted that within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Thailand, restoration work is being carried out on historical monuments related to Buddhism in the Surkhandarya region.
At the meeting, Uzbekistan was recognized as one of the important cultural centers of the region, and its contribution to the development of world science and enlightenment was highly appreciated.
