The Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan is named after Abu Rayhan Beruni, and the scholar's works are being consistently studied through translations and publications.
In particular, in accordance with modern requirements, a practical project was implemented at the institute to digitize Beruni's legacy and present it to the world scientific community in the form of an open electronic platform.

According to the Information Service of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the project, electronic copies of manuscripts stored in such countries as Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, France, Iran, and India were collected and placed on the Heritage of Beruni website along with their scientific descriptions in English. The portal contains a 12-volume scientific classification of 172 manuscripts of 43 works, as well as information about the life of Beruni and the site.
On this basis, a special digital "Beruni Collection" was formed in the institute's manuscript fund. An article titled "Scientific heritage in a digital format" by the institute's director, Professor Bahrom Abduhalimov, about the work carried out within the framework of the project, was published in The UNESCO Courier journal.

In the future, it is planned to include manuscripts stored in Russia and Arab countries in this system.
