A monument to the great thinker, poet, and statesman Alisher Navoi was erected in the city of Osh, Kyrgyz Republic.
The opening ceremony, organized in the Navoi Park, was attended by the mayor of Osh, deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and local residents. The speakers noted that the statue of Navoi is a symbol of friendship and spiritual cooperation between the Turkic peoples and serves to further strengthen the bonds of good neighborliness and brotherhood between the Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples.
