Uzbekistan is a land of historical monuments. Every pattern, every brick, every detail of the monuments speaks of their time. Each of them has its own secret, its own history...
The types of historical monuments are diverse. The most ancient of them are the ruins of ancient cities, fortresses, settlements, remnants of defensive structures, stone inscriptions, and paintings.
Small models of historical monuments, which are part of the country's and people's historical and cultural heritage, are planned to be created and included in the exposition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
- There is information about historical monuments of the early Middle Ages, including the cities of Afrasiab and Mingurik, but 3D models have not yet been created. The early Islamic period is also very interesting. Based on the information left by Arab geographers, the cities of that period are being visually revived. Before Islam, cities consisted of two parts: a palace and a shahristan; with the advent of Islam, rabats, trading rows, and mosques appeared. "We aim to leave even broader and deeper information for today's and future generations," says Doctor of Architecture, Professor Abdumannop Ziyoyev.
The exposition also covers the Second Renaissance, the Timurid era, the period of the khanates, and the modern era.
