On November 16, in celebration of International Tolerance Day, a group of distinguished scholars, prominent figures, leaders in the religious sphere, representatives of international organizations, and foreign researchers were awarded the "Religious Tolerance" badge at the "Wyndham Tashkent" hotel in our capital.
The event was attended by representatives of various ministries and agencies, public organizations and religious denominations, activists of national cultural centers, compatriots who have made significant contributions to strengthening interethnic friendship and religious tolerance in our country, as well as members of the media.
The First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate, Sodik Safayev, Director of the National Center for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov, Chairperson of the Republican Management Board of the "Nuroniy" Foundation and Senator Sodikjon Turdiev, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukholikov, as well as representatives and activists of organizations contributing to reforms in the field of religious and educational development, were also honored with this award.
This badge was established to recognize individuals who contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the religious and educational sphere, ensuring guarantees of citizens' freedom of conscience, and strengthening interfaith and interconfessional harmony and tolerance.
