I express my immense gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to meet with you, even if virtually. In recent years, I have often visited Uzbekistan. Many years ago, I was there as well, but at that time, it was an entirely different country, a different era.
However, much has changed since then. The transformations I have seen during my recent visits are truly impressive. These remarkable changes stand out greatly compared to the previous state. I am very grateful to organizations like WOSCU, which work hard to promote Uzbekistan's cultural heritage. Highlighting the cultural heritage and the immense contributions of our great heroes is of great importance. These outstanding individuals have made a tremendous impact.
In the modern world, for instance, when we speak about medicine, it is impossible not to mention Ibn Sina, who is considered the father of modern medicine. Similarly, astronomy would not have reached its current level without Ulugh Beg’s teachings. It is essential to emphasize our great heroes and their contributions. The world should know where Uzbekistan has come from and what the new Uzbekistan is striving for. I am genuinely impressed by the current leadership of Uzbekistan. Last year, I had the opportunity to briefly meet with the President and the Prime Minister. Their efforts to move the new Uzbekistan forward are commendable.
Uzbekistan’s youth is very active. I saw young people involved in the digital technology sphere. They are now becoming a force to be reckoned with. The world can trust their expertise in the provision of digital and information technologies. Moreover, Uzbekistan amazed everyone at the latest Olympic Games in Paris. They won numerous medals. Such achievements do not happen by themselves. This is part of a grand plan conceived by the country’s leadership. We certainly want to promote these successes.
Last year, we carried out several programs aimed at highlighting these significant achievements in business and economics, culture, heritage, and tourism. This country has much to offer the international community, not only for business and investment but also for tourism, the study of history, culture, and the country’s great heritage. At CNN, we are ready to work on these projects to bring the new Uzbekistan onto the world stage. Next year and in the years to come, we plan to further promote the new Uzbekistan and strengthen its image on a global scale.
I firmly believe that the country is moving in the right direction. In the coming years, Uzbekistan will be recognized as a regional center in tourism, modern technology, and cultural achievements.
Research conducted in educational institutions and academies shows this country’s enormous potential. We want to promote this and present it to the international community. Many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity provided.
