You are now on the verge of constructing the Museum of Islamic Civilization, created under the unique initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This museum inspires researchers to uncover the hidden gems of Islam. On the screen, you can see a map showing which cities in Central Asia were visited by the Arab traveler and historian Ibn Battuta. He left records about the famous Samarkand paper, the region's nature, the lifestyle, and even the appearance of its inhabitants. Writing about rivers, he mentions crossing the Jayhun. At the congress held in August, we signed a memorandum with the Center of Islamic Civilization. Based on this, we plan to organize an exhibition in the center’s museum dedicated to the travels of Ibn Battuta and, using modern technology, to display the cities as seen through his eyes.
