Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and Russia's Sber have reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology

A memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, and the Head of Sber's International Department, Oleg Kapitov, during the Cultural Heritage Week in Tashkent.

According to Kapitov, Sber is the most technologically advanced company in Russia, with 42,000 specialists and 4 supercomputers.

“With the Center for Islamic Civilization, we plan to implement a project for translation into any language. We have ‘Sber Translator,’ which provides both consecutive and simultaneous translation. This will help in holding international conferences. A multimedia platform for book translation will also be created,” said Kapitov.

Additionally, according to a representative from Sber, the company is engaged in preserving heritage using technology.

“Our ‘Digital Peter’ program deciphered all of Peter I’s letters, which had very illegible handwriting, within 20 minutes, something that specialists could not read. This may also be useful for the work of the Center for Islamic Civilization,” said Oleg Kapitov.
