Quran Scholar Karim Ifrak: Mobile Phones Are the Legacy of Khwarizmi

In his speech during the Cultural Heritage Week in Tashkent, French Quran scholar Karim Ifrak highlighted the contributions of Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and shared his research on the collections of Uzbekistan.

"It is impossible to overlook the contribution of Muhammad al-Khwarizmi to modern technology. Most of today's scientific achievements, such as mobile phones and satellites, are based on his works. Islamic civilization has left a profound mark on human history, and its contribution to science and culture cannot be overstated," concluded Ifrak.

The scholar also noted that Uzbekistan's handwritten Qurans, such as the Kattalangar Quran and other Islamic manuscripts stored in the country's collections, are rare examples that inspire further research.

"The more research we conduct, the more we are drawn to their rarity and uniqueness, which pushes us toward new challenges. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the Cultural Heritage Week and the leadership of the country for the opportunity to participate in this event and for the chance to conduct unique research."
