Participants of the Cultural Heritage Week in Uzbekistan, organized by the Center for Islamic Civilization and WOSCU, share their views on the results of the event.
Chingiz Tomar, IRCICA Deputy Director-General:
Uzbekistan is our ancestral homeland, a sacred place. It is a great country that has produced prominent scholars of religion and renowned scientists. Thanks to its cultural heritage, the Turkish people have a deep love for Uzbekistan and always dream of visiting Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. What pleased me most was seeing that the centers named after our ancestors in Samarkand and Bukhara are beautifully preserved. When I arrived in Uzbekistan, I saw that it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. We created a facsimile copy of the original Sahih al-Bukhari and gifted it to the Center for Islamic Civilization. I sincerely wish this blessed land, which has given the world great muhaddiths, scholars, and enlightened thinkers, continued prosperity."
