Intercultural Dialogue: Uzbekistan and Qatar Unite Through Cultural Heritage

A significant meeting took place in Qatar where the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ashraf Khodjaev, welcomed the the Managing Director of Al Jazeera Documentary, Mr. Ahmed Mahfouz.

Alongside discussions on bilateral cooperation, a unique series of book albums titled "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections" was presented and gifted to the channel.

During the meeting, A. Khodjaev emphasized that spreading information about Uzbekistan's cultural heritage plays a key role in strengthening intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. He noted that such projects help to create a solid foundation for long-term partnerships based on respect and mutual interest in each other's cultural achievements.

Mr. Ahmed Mahfouz was deeply impressed by the content of the publications. He expressed sincere admiration for the history and culture of Uzbekistan, noting that cities like Samarkand and Bukhara have long been known worldwide as centers of civilization and culture. The Director of Al Jazeera Documentary emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting this heritage and announced his intention to visit Uzbekistan to jointly create documentary films that will present Uzbek culture to the global audience.
