The contribution of P. Benkov to the formation of a national school of art is also great, like the contribution of his companions.

The move to Uzbekistan contributed to the rise of the artist’s creative talent. For a long time he remained a disciple of Impressionism, very subtly revealing portraits and landscapes, plot motifs.

In the works of N. Kashina “Lunch Break”, “Still Life” and “Dance Lesson”, you can feel her creative search in the field of realistic art.  Her late works “Summer” and “Silence”, done in the 1960s, represent a late period in her work when she returns to decorativeness, light, free picturesque writing, and the emancipation of the creative spirit in general.

Pictures by Z. Kovalevskaya “Still Life with Apples”, “Portrait of P. Benkov”, “Rest” and others also reveal her creative talent.

You can learn more about this topic in the book-album “The Collection of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan”  (Volume XIII) from the series “Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the world collections”.
