Preserving cultural legacy
The initiative to establish the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan was first expressed in May 2017 at the international Congress Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan – a Path to Dialogue between Peoples and Countries held in Tashkent and Samarkand.

The decision to found the World Society was made within the framework of the Second International Congress held in St. Petersburg in 2018.
The society was officially registered in Paris in August 2019.

It supports international cooperation, state and public organizations, researchers, experts, academicians, the media and other interested members of the society in the field of preservation, study and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan as an important part of the world cultural heritage.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 4th International Congress on December 15, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, the founder and research director of the society, said that the study of cultural heritage is important for Uzbekistan, which "experienced two renaissances in the 11th-12th and 15th centuries and is now entering the new period of renaissance."
