The Days of Uzbek Culture have commenced at the Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU), marking a comprehensive celebration of Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and modern dynamics.

It is worth noting that since 2022, the Uzbek Language and Culture Center has been operating at MSLU.

The events are part of the preparations for the 25th anniversary of the Basic Organization for the Languages and Cultures of CIS Countries and the 95th anniversary of Moscow State Linguistic University.

In his address to the participants on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ilhom Nematov, Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, expressed confidence that the Days of Uzbek Culture at MSLU would deepen and expand the knowledge of teachers and students about the unique and vibrant culture, national traditions, and customs of the Uzbek people.

"All this will undoubtedly contribute to the mutual rapprochement and enrichment of cultures within the Commonwealth, as well as strengthen the spiritual and moral values of our peoples," Nematov noted.

In addition to pottery and embroidery, visitors can also explore Uzbek national musical instruments and literature in the Uzbek language.

The highlight of the program was the documentary film by Valdis Pelsh "Uzbekistan: Looking Beyond the Horizon," as well as a concert program. Music lovers were delighted by performances from students of MSLU and the Moscow Institute of Culture, who sang songs in the Uzbek language. Guests were immersed in traditional Uzbek dances at the concert by soloists of the national ensemble "Nilufar," performing the dance "Sanamgina."

The Days of Uzbek Culture at MSLU will take place from May 20 to 27. Additionally, on May 22 and 24, they will be held at the VDNKh in the "Uzbekistan" pavilion, where the musical film "The Unsung Song: Batyr Zakirov" will be shown.
