On the sides of the caps were attached long thin tassels of silk cords with beads strung on them or narrow strips of silk fabric covered with embroidery and beads and coins sewn on them. Girls wore a tahia without kerchiefs, and girls over the head tied small kerchiefs oraypek, leaving the front of the elegant tahia open.
