"Oh, Imam Muhammad Kishi,
I came to your gates, don't deprive me of hope..."
According to researchers from the publication "Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan" of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections," "Kishi" refers to the nisba of the aforementioned Imam al-Kishi, whose identity is known only through unreliable legends. The compiler of the text relied on the legendary tradition that linked the mausoleum of Mirza Jahangir with the name of this Imam.
