What truth is written in the inscriptions of the mausoleum of Khazrati Imam?

One of the inscriptions preserved in the mausoleum of Jahangir Mirza (or Khazrati Imam), which is the main monument of the architectural complex "Dar us-Sadat" in the city of Shahrisabz, Kashkadarya region, contains ancient wisdom: "A wise man relies on his labor, while a fool relies on his hopes".

What truth is written in the inscriptions of the mausoleum of Khazrati Imam?

It can be said that the wisdom contained in this inscription has not lost its value even today. In other words, the wisdom in it is evidence of a truth proven over the years. As a result of the restoration, the inscription and patterns have been preserved only partially. Although some parts of them have been restored, this work has not been successful. The inscription we quoted above is written in suls script with blue letters against a background of vegetal ornamentation.

According to the researchers of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections," it is believed that the actually preserved part of the inscription was restored (or rewritten) around the 19th century, possibly at the same time when a new door was installed in the mausoleum. By the way, Sharaf ad-Din Ali Yazdi in his work "Zafarnama" referred to the mausoleum of Jahangir Mirza, which is the main monument of the architectural complex "Dar us-Saadat" in the city of Shahrisabz, Kashkadarya region, as an "extremely tall structure".
