It was built in honor of the eldest son of Amir Temur, heir to the throne Jahangir Mirza (died 1376) after his death and according to the conclusion of the researcher M.E. Masson, based on historical data, Prince Jahangir Mirza was buried there. The western niche of the Khazrati Imam mausoleum is deeper than the others; it is designed in the form of a mihrab.
