Judgments and assumptions about the inscriptions in the mausoleum of Khazrati Imam

According to the conclusion of researcher M.E. Masson, based on historical data, it was Prince Jahangir Mirza who was buried in the mausoleum of Khazrati Imam.‌‌

The frieze with an inscription is on the frieze of mausoleum's quadrangle, under the decorative ganch stalactites. The text is placed inside cartouches. The inscription and the decoration are only partially preserved, some parts have been rather poorly restored.

The inscription is in thuluth script, blue letters on a floral background. Judging by the paleography of original parts of this inscription, it completely differs from the style of monuments of the Amir Temur and Temurids era. We believe that the remaining part of the inscription was restored (or rewritten) in the 19th century, perhaps at the time when the door to the mausoleum was made.
