The meeting discussed the further development of relations in various fields, including the strengthening of cultural cooperation between the two countries. The parties noted the common culture, religion, traditions, and spiritual values that unite Uzbekistan and Oman and expressed an interest in the consistent development of mutually beneficial relations.
During the conversation, an exchange of ideas took place on strengthening cultural cooperation, including the joint implementation of projects aimed at popularizing the cultural heritage of both countries, including the study of artifacts related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Ambassador also noted the large-scale reforms being carried out in the New Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the work done by WOSCU in studying and collecting manuscripts, artifacts, ancient objects related to the history of our country, stored in foreign museums and private collections. Wafa Jabr Al-Busaidi noted that this was her first visit to the WOSCU office and emphasized that these works are the greatest resource and a very valuable cultural heritage for future generations.
“This office reflects the history of your country. All the work done by the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan is worthy of great praise. Today, it is very important to preserve and study one’s cultural heritage scattered around the world. Mutual cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Sultanate of Oman is now entering a new stage of development. I think that our relations will continue to develop in the cultural direction, and in the future, we will implement a number of joint projects together with WOSCU," noted Ms. Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Wafa Jabr al-Busaidi.
On behalf of WOSCU, a set of 20 books from the series "Architectural Epigraphy of Uzbekistan" was presented as a gift to the Embassy of Oman in the Republic of Uzbekistan. This project is implemented thanks to the personal attention of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
