Do you know about the Ichan-Kal’a State Museum-Reserve?‌‌

Ichan-Kal’a State Museum-Reserve is one of the most famous open-air museums located inside the fortress of the same name of Khiva khans and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Since its opening in 1920, the museum collection has been constantly replenished and now keeps more than 60 000 exhibits reflecting the history of Khorezm from ancient times to the present day.

The structure of the museum-reserve includes 15 permanent exhibitions. They give an idea of the archaeological collection, collections of numismatics and bonistics, manuscripts and documents, photo collections, decorative and applied art, and paintings of the 20th century.
