Every one of the used varieties of monumental writings (scripts), perhaps, had generated its own painting technique, based on the application and use of special tools and materials. Due to the solidity of materials, to this day have survived some individual texts made in the technique of majolica and exquisite mosaic writing, which in themselves are the samples of the highest achievements of monumental art of calligraphy.
But the loss of many inscriptions and poorly preserved fragments create difficulties, which seriously obstruct the experts’ efforts to fully restore the texts abundantly scattered around the monument. Needless to say, that of all the texts of the palace only a small fraction of them survived. Although it alone also leads to the conclusion that Oqsaroy has turned into a site and model of not only highly artistic decor, but also a place of remarkable concentration of the best achievements of the art of calligraphy related to the epoch of Amir Temur.

From the point of view of the art of calligraphy, the palace is an example of skilful application of a variety of Arab scripts, which became one of the most integral elements of Oqsaroy decor.
