To mark the 690th anniversary of this great figure, the President signed a corresponding resolution on February 5. Under the document, April has been declared Amir Temur Month, and meetings, round tables, and discussions involving scholars of the Timurid era, as well as writers and artists, are planned in educational institutions, research centers, and mahallas.

As part of the implementation of the resolution, the building of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids was reconstructed and equipped with modern devices and equipment, using the best practices of world-renowned museums. Through digitalization, its capabilities have been expanded, and the exhibition has been enriched, including with exhibits acquired from foreign collections. In particular, a section titled “The Great Sahibkiran– Founder of the Second Renaissance” has been established on the first floor of the museum. On the second floor, interactive exhibitions on the era of Amir Temur and the Timurids have been created using artificial intelligence and smart technologies. 3D exhibits and geographical maps are also on display.

While touring the updated exhibition of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids and reviewing the conditions created for visitors, the President emphasized the importance of studying, promoting, and preserving the heritage of our ancestors.

“We have a history and heritage that the whole world can take pride in. It is encouraging that the museum, which preserves the legacy of Sahibkiran, has been updated and now reflects the spirit of the times. Our main task now is to convey this to the wider public, especially to young people and foreign visitors. If one asks where to find the knowledge needed to elevate the New Uzbekistan, it lies in the heritage and wisdom left by our ancestors. Therefore, we must engage young people, the older generation, and the broader public by attracting them to museums at the mahalla level and expanding their knowledge of our great history,” the Head of State noted.
