During excavation work in the Payariq district of the Samarkand region, remains of an ancient grave were discovered by a citizen. This was reported by the Cultural Heritage Agency.

During the excavations, human bone remains, bronze bracelets, various jewelry, and small beads were discovered. The citizen immediately reported the discovery to the Y. Gulyamov Samarkand Institute of Archaeology.

According to preliminary observations, some of the discovered bronze bracelets are distinguished by their conical tips and spiral ornaments. Their shape and decorative features are similar to the jewelry characteristic of the culture of steppe pastoralist tribes living in the late Bronze Age.

The agency reminded that in the event that ancient artifacts, structural remains, or human bones are discovered during excavation or construction work, work must be stopped immediately and the relevant state authorities and archaeological specialists must be notified. Such a responsible attitude serves to preserve our cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.
