On June 4, Dr. Louis Ng Chi-wa, Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, visited the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan. During the visit, issues of organizing international exhibitions between museums, improving personnel qualifications, and restoration and conservation were discussed.
The Hong Kong Palace Museum organizes foreign traveling exhibitions in many countries. During the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing similar exhibitions in Uzbekistan and exhibiting exhibits related to the history of Uzbekistan in museums in China.
It should be noted that the Hong Kong Palace Museum is establishing official relations with the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan for the first time in Central Asia, which serves as an important step toward cooperation in the field of Uzbek-Chinese museology.
