In 2025, during the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Malaysia, a joint Uzbek-Malaysian scientific society was established, uniting leading researchers and experts from both countries specializing in the study of Islamic civilization. As part of the project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections", a special book-album about the artifacts of Uzbekistan stored in this museum was published with the introduction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In her speech, the Queen of Malaysia, Raja Zarith Sofia, emphasized that studying Islamic culture, history, and heritage on a global scale is of great importance today. "Uzbekistan is a land of great scholars, and the heritage of scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Abu Mansur Maturidi, and Imam Termizi, who emerged from this land, is still studied in the Islamic world today". We must pay great attention to the widespread promotion of their works, scientific views, and universal ideas in our lives. I believe that cooperation between the two countries in this regard will yield the expected results", the Queen said.

Also, within the framework of the conference, memorandums were signed between a number of scientific and educational institutions and higher education institutions of Malaysia and Uzbekistan. It is planned to familiarize foreign guests and participants with the exhibitions of the Center of Islamic Civilization, organize cultural and scientific trips to Samarkand and Bukhara.
